F I S World-& Europa Cup Para Snowboard Crazy Curves 2026

What's it about?

In 2026 (January 14-17), there will be the second FIS World Cup in Para Snowboard at Kühtai. The team of TI Snow, together with the FIS Para World Cup coordinator and the Kühtai cable cars, has selected an ideal slope for the Banced Cross Slalom, which perfectly meets the requirements of this World Cup event. The FIS has recently granted the approval! The sport of Para Snowboard is a very young and emerging sport, first introduced at the Winter Olympics in 2014 in Sochi. Only athletes with impairments of the lower and upper extremities compete against each other in this event, racing against the clock. Athletes with leg amputations use a prosthesis during their sport. A particular challenge for athletes with impairments of the upper extremities is controlling balance. In the Banced Cross Slalom, athletes navigate a course with steep turns.
