The Positive Futures Festival is very pleased to be back at the Bäckerei in 2026. This year, an extraordinary double program awaits you: the expressionist silent film classic "Nosferatu" will be brought to life through a hypnotic live accompaniment by Circuit des Yeux and Alan Sparhawk, while the trio Gordan offers a fascinating blend of Balkan mysticism and modern avant-garde music. Circuit des Yeux feat. Alan Sparhawk presents Nosferatu (1922) This iconic silent film expressionist classic will be given a hypnotic original live accompaniment by Circuit des Yeux, together with Alan Sparhawk from the indie legend "Low". F.W. Murnau's notorious, unauthorized adaptation of "Dracula" features an unforgettable Max Schreck as Count Orlok, who lures his victims to his castle in Transylvania – still the definitive "Dracula" over a hundred years later. Circuit des Yeux is highly acclaimed — from The Wire and Pitchfork to The New York Times. Gordan Gordan reflect the mysticism of Balkan legends in a music that balances expressiveness and abstraction, tradition and avant-garde. Svetlana Spajic’s (Marina Abramović, Robert Wilson, Antony and the Johnsons) intense vocals are both rooted and deeply interpretive. Drummer Andi Stecher (STECHER, Billy Bultheel, Orchestre Les Mangelepa) and Guido Möbius on bass and electronics steer the songs into inspired, unpredictable directions with their sound strategies.
