What's it about?
On March 15, 1947, Zarah Leander spends her 40th birthday lonely and abandoned on the remote Lönö estate in Sweden. The great diva of the Nazis is outcast and unemployed. The telephone, which used to ring incessantly, remains silent – but the voices of the past grow louder. On a musical journey through her life, she looks back on her career with sharp wit and without scruples, a career she bought through political turning a blind eye. With this solo evening, which tells of a woman torn between art, world events, her own hopes and her responsibility, the versatile Tyrolean actress Brigitte Jaufenthaler returns to the TLT and is accompanied on the piano by the renowned musician Christian Wegscheider.
