What's it about?

After two successful editions of our pitching-a-friend dating night and a lot of valuable feedback, we are further developing the format. Dating doesn't have to be complicated, stiff, or awkward. That's precisely why we're creating an evening that makes encounters simpler, more honest, and a little more playful again. No endless swiping. No perfect dating profiles. No stiff getting-to-know-you rituals. Instead, friends take the stage and present their favorite people — directly, creatively, and with a good dose of humor. What to expect: 10 short presentations, strictly limited to 3–5 minutes. Singles who want to meet new people and connect will be introduced. It's not about perfection, but about personality. This edition is primarily aimed at people between 25 and 40 years old. We understand this as a guideline and not a rigid limit – if you see yourself outside this age range and believe that this round suits you well, you are of course also welcome. Break & Connect In the middle of the evening, there will be a deliberate break for arriving, exchanging, and initial getting-to-know-you — so that conversations don't only start at the end. Chillout afterwards Afterwards, the evening continues in a relaxed atmosphere in the café: with music, an open atmosphere, and space for conversations without pressure. Perhaps singles who weren't on stage will also meet there? Safe Space & Respect Die Bäckerei sees itself as a safe space for everyone. We do not tolerate any discriminatory, disrespectful, or intrusive behavior. All presented persons must explicitly agree to participate in advance. Written consent is required for each presentation. Respectful interaction is important to us — the format thrives on humor and openness, not on exposure.
