As pictorially ambiguous, indeed "transitory", as the current album title "Transitory" intends, the Sheen Trio, according to Hans-Dieter Grünefeld in Sonic magazine, combines "avant-garde, romance and folk into an unmistakable sound", plays "electrifying, experimental jazz" (Rolf Thomas, Jazz thing) or "tense post-rock" (Jan Paersch).
