LUNGAU POP FACTORY – Spotlight 70er Jåhr

What's it about?

The 17-piece Lungau Pop Factory brings a selection of songs from the 1970s to the stage for one evening, arranged for a large rock band with a brass section. The repertoire ranges from rock classics to funky dance tunes, as well as soulful and folk ballads, creating all the conditions for a very special evening. The 'Lungau Pop Factory' is a biennial project of the Lungau Cultural Association, where selected musicians from Lungau—from the Querschläger band to the Lungau Big Band—and all genres in between and beyond create evenings focused on specific themes from pop music history. Following '50 Years of Woodstock' in 2019, 'Club Session Love Songs' in 2021, and 'Beatlemania entan Tauan' in 2023, the spotlight now turns to the music of the 1970s, a decade in which stylistic diversity in pop music exploded. This time, the 17-member ensemble will perform selected songs spanning a range of styles from energetic rock to other genres, ensuring a memorable evening.
