What's it about?

The Krimmler Waterfalls are an impressive natural spectacle not only in summer. Due to their shady location, only a few sun rays reach the waterfalls, and under suitable temperatures, beautiful ice formations develop. The tour begins at the tourism office in Krimml, where participants receive snowshoes or crampons from the national park ranger, depending on snow conditions. After a few hundred meters, the snowshoes are put on, and the normal hiking trail is left behind — we are now on fields and meadows dressed in winter attire. Gently ascending, we reach spots that offer a view of Krimml and the Kitzbühel Alps. Shortly thereafter, the wintery waterfalls are reached. After a short rest, the tour continues over snowy paths and through wintery streets until the starting point of the hike is reached again. If snow cover is insufficient, the tour is conducted as a winter hike. Registration: Registration possible...
