NPHT: Schwarzkarlsee - Survival Strategies in the High Mountains

What's it about?

From Enzingerboden, we follow the path – steadily ascending – in the direction of Rötenkogel and Winterkogel. At approx. 2100 meters, you reach the national park boundary and soon also the Schwarzkarlsee. In this high alpine landscape, the inhabitants of the wetland habitats, the short vegetation period, and survival strategies in the high mountains will be discussed. From here, the mountain panorama can be wonderfully enjoyed. The return journey follows the same route. Difficulty: Moderately difficult summer excursion on well-maintained trails with a destination above the valley floor.Equipment: Hiking or mountaineering boots with profiled soles, rain and sun protection, appropriate clothing and change of clothes, backpack with drinks and snacks;Costs: Adults 22,- Euro.
