Here, at the bottom of the valley near the Schösswendklamm gorge, masses of water have been cutting through the hard rock for millennia. This has created impressive erosion forms, potholes, and small waterfalls. Following the gorge, the path continues to Hintersee, and you will learn interesting facts about the flora and fauna in the rear Felbertal. On the north side of the lake, the circular path leads to a hill with a view over the head of the valley with its imposing rock faces, where chamois frolic. The return route is along the same path.
