Guided Hike to the Krimmler Waterfalls

Meeting point: 09:30 AM at Krimml train station Shuttle (for M+Wanderbetriebe): 09:00 AM Walking time: approximately 4 hours Distance: approximately 12.5 km Elevation gain: approximately 470 meters Difficulty: moderate hike Equipment: ankle-high hiking shoes with good tread, backpack with sun and rain protection, drink, and hiking poles Our hike begins at Vorderkrimml train station. From there, an idyllic forest path leads through a shady spruce forest to the Krimmler Waterfalls. Afterwards, we continue on a unique forest trail with numerous stone steps, ascending about 350 meters in elevation. Along the way, impressive views of the rushing water masses of the waterfall open up repeatedly. During a cozy stop at the Alpengasthof Schönangerl, we will enjoy regional Pinzgau delicacies before continuing to the lowest section of the waterfall.
