What's it about?
How does glacier ice actually form? Where do golden eagles and bearded vultures live? What survival strategies do edelweiss and saxifrage develop? You'll learn all this and much more on this exciting tour. The guide for your expedition through four climate zones is a real ranger from the Hohe Tauern National Park. Your journey begins in the temperate zone in Kaprun and leads via scenic cable car rides and short exploratory hikes through the taiga and tundra up to the arctic glacier ice. In between, you'll experience a special highlight: a ride on the 3K K-onnection – one of the most modern and energy-efficient cable cars in the world. From its special Explorer cabins, you'll enjoy an unobstructed panoramic view of the impressive high-alpine natural landscape down to the Zell Basin.
