"My first 3,000m peak" Summit Tour

What's it about?

Roped to the summit of Kitzsteinhorn The Kitzsteinhorn is uniquely suited for a first ascent of a 3,000m peak. You will meet your certified mountain guide at the Kitzsteinhorn valley station. Together, you will enjoy the panoramic cable car rides up to the summit station at 3,029 meters. Here you will receive your equipment and a brief introduction to the upcoming ascent. Then, roped up, you'll head towards the summit. Depending on the weather and your fitness, it will take one to one and a half hours to reach the summit cross at 3,203 meters. Your efforts will be rewarded with a spectacular view: your gaze will sweep over the sea of peaks of the Hohe Tauern and, in clear weather, reach down into the Zell basin. With good visibility, you can even see as far as the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Top Tip: With the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card, the ascent and descent with the cable cars are free for you.
