Guided Hike: Paarseen

What's it about?

The hike begins at the Hauserbauer trailhead and leads through a spruce forest to the Steiner Hochalm. Some wetlands and lowland moors characterize the rest of the route up to the Paarseen lakes. The ascent is rewarded with a beautiful panorama — the Hochkönig massif in the north, the Gastein Valley in the south, and of course the view of the Große Paarsee. On the way back, visitors will be treated to homemade leaf dumplings and other delicacies by the Meikl family at Steiner Hochalm. End of the hike: around 3:00 PM. Participation in the guided hikes is free with the Gastein Card! Bus and taxi transfer costs (€6 per person one way) and consumptions are to be paid separately.
