What's it about?

The Wasserscheibenschießen at Prebersee is unique worldwide because instead of shooting at the disc itself, shooters aim at its reflection in the water, and the pellet then, with a bit of luck, jumps into the disc. The distance is 120 meters, and only lead ammunition is used. The origin of this shooting sport is unknown, but it has been documented to have been practiced since 1832. By the way: one of the most common aiming errors occurs when the shooter reverses the target in the mirror image. If a shot is indicated as too high, the shooter must aim even higher, and vice versa.
