Stargazing in the Salzburg Lungau Biosphere Park A look at the Lungau night sky is worthwhile! Together with the Biosphere Park "Dark Sky" ambassador Othmar Ortner, we hike at night - in complete silence - through nature and benefit not only from the unforgettably romantic natural experience but also from the impressive astronomical knowledge of the young hiking guide. Also during the star hike on March 6, the planets Jupiter and Mars will present themselves as rarely otherwise in the year. The two planets come exceptionally close to each other in the sky, so that their colors can be well compared. The third extremely bright object of this hike is the star Sirius - the brightest star in our night sky.
