Adventmarkt

What's it about?

The Christmas season is also celebrated with particular festivity in Salzburg's southernmost region. Visitors to the Advent market at Mauterndorf Castle can look forward to a variety of traditional crafts from regional vendors: handmade pottery and clay products, unique jewelry designs, handcrafted items, and much more. For gourmets, the Advent market offers plenty of regional delicacies and warming drinks: from hearty bacon bread and Lungau sausages to fine Christmas baked goods, as well as punch and mulled wine. A fairy-tale pre-Christmas atmosphere is created by musical entertainment with brass players, bands, and singers. Last but not least, the craft program, reading corner, and cookie baking in the rock cellar are absolute highlights for children!
