The full moon swim in Obertauern is the highlight of Salzburg's event calendar. On August 9, 2025, the magical power of the full moon and the "cleansing" effect of the fresh water will be experienced in Grünwaldsee. A illuminated full moon will be placed in the middle of the natural mountain lake, serving as a waypoint for the brave swimmers. Those who defy the initial cold will swim around the "moon" under the supervision of cold water professionals before warming up again in one of the pleasantly heated hot tubs.
