Filzmoos Village Festival with Alpine Cattle Drive

A atmospheric festival with genuine Salzburg hospitality awaits you at the village square of Filzmoos! The traditional Alpine cattle drive in Filzmoos is a highlight every year in the Salzburg Farmers' Autumn. You will experience authentic insights into alpine farming and the deep connection of the farmers with their cattle and their tradition. Cows, calves, sheep, goats, horses, horse-drawn carriages, and even alpacas, as well as old agricultural equipment, are festively decorated with loving craftsmanship. From 11:30 AM, live music with the "Filzmooser Hodalump'n" will provide great music and good spirits and a relaxed get-together. Around 1:00 PM, the animals will parade from the alpine pastures through the town center – a traditional custom that brings the summer on the alpine pastures to a close and makes this traditional day a special experience for locals and guests.
