What's it about?

On an expert guided tour through the installation by internationally renowned artist Stephan Balkenhol, you will immerse yourself in his work and encounter Figaro, Elektra, Don Giovanni, Turandot, Othello, and Carmen as wooden sculptures created specifically for these rooms: The dialogue between contemporary art and the magnificent hall is particularly charming, especially since the first opera north of the Alps was performed in the Carabinierisaal and Mozart had his workplace here. Afterwards, from the Cathedral Arch Terrace, you can enjoy the view of Residenzplatz, where you will encounter the same figures, executed in bronze, again (until September 5).
