Talschaftsmuseum "Zeitreise Defereggen"

What's it about?

The exhibition opened in 2005 in the basement of the St. Jakob i.D. music pavilion and has since become an interesting cultural excursion destination. The "Zeitreise Defereggen" offers a special experience in two separate rooms: In the first room, visitors interactively travel through the millennia in fast motion - from the Ice Age to modern times. The approximately 1000-year-old dugout canoe, preserved in a glass display case, is the centerpiece of the exhibition in the second room, where finds from the hunter's station at Hirschbichl and the heyday of mining can also be admired.
