What's it about?

The 54th International Wolfgangseelauf "Rund um den Wolfgangsee" (around Lake Wolfgang) takes place on October 18, 2026. It is Austria's largest scenic and adventure run with more than 4,000 participants, offering plenty of running enjoyment. As a perfect introductory event, the 5.2 km panoramic run (starting in Strobl) is available. The flat 10 km lakeside run between Gschwendt and St. Wolfgang is also on the program. Travel to both runs is by ship (included in the registration fee). The classic at Lake Wolfgang is and remains the 27 km lake round — run for the 54th time. It includes a passage over Falkenstein (220 meters of elevation gain) and countless uniquely scenic sections such as in Fürberg and Abersee, turning the initial secret tip into the myth of Wolfgangseelauf. Since 2011, the race offerings have been complemented by the Salzkammergut Marathon, covering the traditional 42.195 km distance. Starting in the imperial city of Bad Ischl and after a good 15 km warm-up, the marathon continues through scenic landscapes.
