Live report by Joe Pichler South America – from Chile to Venezuela In November 2025, Joe and Renate Pichler will start a new great adventure through South America on their KTM 890 Adventure R. From Santiago de Chile, they will go over icy Andean passes and through the endless expanse of the Atacama Desert. They will cross the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat on Earth, and follow adventurous tracks into the remote regions of Peru. At over 5,000 meters altitude, they will finally reach the source of the Amazon. But now the real adventure begins: Joe will set out alone through the toughest part of the journey. Muddy jungle tracks, tropical heat, and unpredictable conditions will lead him deep into the Amazon region in Brazil. In Manaus, Joe and Renate will reunite – and continue their journey together towards Venezuela. There awaits another highlight: Mount Roraima. Rising majestically at 2,810 meters, this mysterious tabletop mountain dominates the landscape. And with Angel Falls, they will experience one of the most spectacular places in South America – the highest waterfall in the world. After four months, covering 14,262 kilometers and countless adventures, they will reach Bogotá in Colombia, the destination of their journey. A trip through breathtaking landscapes, over extreme tracks, and to people and places that will remain in memory forever.
