What's it about?

Special exhibition of works by Soja Litwinowa. The Stiftsmuseum has the honor of presenting the artistically significant collection of Provost Nikolaus Erber as part of the special exhibition "Im Feuer gezeichnet". The works are by the Chagall Prize winner Soja Litwinowa, who has created some of her pieces using the encaustic technique — an ancient painting method in which colors are applied in hot beeswax onto the painting surface. This technique gives the images a special depth, luminosity, and durability. Regular opening hours (May to September): every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 3 pm to 5 pm (entrance at the Stiftskeller, Seestrasse 2). Prices (per person): Adults €6.50 Reduced admission €5.00 Youth (10-18) and students €4.00 Free admission for: Children under 10 years Holders (guests) of the Seenlandcard Members of the "Friends of Stift Mattsee" association Members of the "Verein der Freunde des Stiftes Mattsee" enjoy free entry.
