What's it about?
To call Mozart's "Gran Partita" a masterpiece is truly an understatement. This wind work from the pen of the Salzburg genius/master represents something unprecedented; it is an expression and processing of profound feelings and sensations, in a perfection that has never existed before. All of this must have been overwhelming for Mozart's musical contemporaries; the shadow of the genius omnipresent. No different for Antonio Salieri, Mozart's Salzburg contemporary. But despite all the burden, all the envy and jealousy of the God-given abilities of the master Mozart; Salieri too cannot resist the magic of the sounds of the "Gran Partita". Incidentally, just like the audience on this touching and impressive evening of world-class musical performance. With wind players from the Münchner Philharmoniker, conductor Milan Turkovic and actor Stefan Wilkening as Antonio Salieri.
