What's it about?
For 35 years now, the Orig. Salzburger Advent has been giving its loyal visitors a small piece of the Christmas of their childhood. What started in 1991 as a small event with just under 400 visitors in the Salzburg Kollegienkirche has developed into a cultural event of high musical and artistic quality. The Orig. Salzburger Advent® with its more than a hundred participants has reshaped the face of Advent singing in Salzburg with its distinctive content, authenticity, and independence. More than 15,000 visitors annually from the city and countryside of Salzburg, as well as from all over Austria and Germany, have made the Salzburger Advent the second largest Advent singing event in Salzburg after the Advent singing at the Festival Hall.
