What's it about?

Every talent counts – come to the Red Cross. A local branch is not only driven by its tasks but above all by the people behind it. In Riedersbach, people with different skills, interests, and life stories come together. What unites them is the joy of doing something for others and being part of a strong community. We want to introduce this community on Friday, November 20, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM at an informal info evening. The info evening will take place at the Red Cross local branch Riedersbach, Gewerbegebiet 14, 5121 Ostermiething. Because there are many ways to get involved at the Red Cross – and you don’t always need extensive training for that. We especially welcome support in health and social services. But there are also many opportunities in the youth Red Cross, ambulance transport, emergency services, as a reading coach, visiting service, or at ROKO. Those who like to work with their hands, help at the station, or simply support where help is needed are also an important part of our local branch. The possibilities are as diverse as the people themselves. Whether you are young, in the middle of your career, or already retired: we have suitable opportunities for every age and interest to get involved. Every generation can contribute and at the same time be part of a community that supports each other. What makes our local branch special is the cooperation across different sections. People of different ages work together. Through joint activities and events, you get to know each other, help each other, and also enjoy spending time together outside of the actual tasks. This community thrives on people who take responsibility and help shape the local branch. This year, we also want to say thank you: Martin Mandl has led the Riedersbach local branch for many years as branch leader and has been very committed to the community. We thank him sincerely. Georg Kubesch, a long-time volunteer, now takes over as branch leader. Georg has been active at the Riedersbach local branch and in the Braunau district for many years, bringing a lot of experience and expertise. We wish him all the best and much success in his new role. Perhaps you also have a talent that could enrich our local branch. Come by on November 20, get to know us, and find out in a completely informal way which opportunity might suit you. Because at the Red Cross, everyone can contribute – regardless of age. What matters is the willingness to make a difference together.
