What's it about?

Sometimes a song begins with a glass of wine in the kitchen or at a celebration where one thinks more than talks. The songs of REIWAS are full of such moments – small stories that suddenly catch you. Musically, the quartet from Upper Bavaria led by singer and songwriter Josef Steinbacher does its own thing – with accordion, double bass, guitar, and drums, creating a sound that oscillates somewhere between folk and pop and stands on its own. The songs sometimes go to the heart, sometimes to the stomach. Sometimes with humor, sometimes with melancholy – but always with impact. The music carries, the words stay stuck. Open, sensitive, humorous – and always genuine. After celebrated concerts and a growing fan base, it is clear: REIWAS are not a flash in the pan – they are entertainment and attitude at the same time.
