Der kleine Tod - Emily Schmeller

Der kleine Tod - Emily Schmeller

Sunday 6 December · 19:30kleines theater · salzburg

What's it about?

Directed by Caroline Richards, Margarete is a psychotherapist who had a difficult childhood herself: When she was eight years old, her mother took her own life. But Margarete has her life well under control – okay, maybe she masturbates too much and talks to her 'imaginary audience' – but basically everything is fine… Until she suddenly finds the dog of her suicidal client Vera Toth with a farewell message in front of her practice. Where is Vera? Has Margarete failed (again)? And what does she do with Lucky, the dog, now? Then Margarete's sister Lee also appears with the ashes of their deceased mother. It's a good thing Lee used to be a criminal police officer… With Lee and Lucky by her side, Margarete sets out to find her client and thus confronts her own past. Will she find Vera again or is it 'too late' again? 'Der kleine Tod' is a solo play about mental health by Emily Schmeller, based on her short series of the same name. With black humor, quirky situational comedy and a lot of dialect, Emily Schmeller plays all roles. A TATU Theater production, directed and dramaturgically assisted by Caroline Richards, funded by the City and State of Salzburg
