Itchy
What's it about?
What started on July 13, 2001 in Eislingen an der Fils as a teenage band has become one of the most enduring, successful, and at the same time likable punk rock institutions in Germany. With unbridled energy, lots of humor, and a distinctive sense for great melodies, ITCHY has played from their first youth center concerts to large stages across Europe. Early on, Sibbi, Panzer, and Max decisively chose to follow their own path: without huge marketing budgets, but with tireless work, seemingly endless joy of playing, and a loyal fan base. Over the years, the three-man band developed into an impressive live phenomenon: over 1000 concerts in more than 20 countries and a reputation for shows that are precise, captivating, humorous, and emotional. The band manages the rare balancing act between punk rock attitude, melodic catchiness, and a clear stance on social and political issues. Musically, ITCHY has continuously evolved, regularly releasing new albums and creating anthems that have long become a staple of the German punk rock scene. Despite their long band history, ITCHY has never stood still. Instead of nostalgia, a strong drive forward dominates to this day: new songs, new tours, two books, their own podcast, and an ever-growing audience. What remains is the unwavering belief that music can connect people—and that one is allowed to voice one's convictions loudly and without compromise. In 2026, the band will celebrate its 25th anniversary. A milestone that underscores the extraordinary durability and authenticity of this trio. ITCHY stands for lived DIY spirit, great passion, and the simple, often forgotten truth: at the end of each day, we are three friends trying to make music—and not three musicians trying to be friends.
