Sisters of comedy

What's it about?

Sonja Pikart, Suse Lichtenberger, Magda Leeb & Christina Kiesler Sisters of Comedy 2026 A show by women for women happening simultaneously across the entire German-speaking region. On November 12, 2018, 163 professionally funny women in 28 shows in Germany brought laughter, excitement, and reflection to over 6,651 spectators. A total of €52,941 was raised in donations that evening. This money supports women, promotes them, and hopefully (re)creates better living conditions. Since 2021, the show has also been held in Salzburg, taking place annually at the small theater, following enthusiastic feedback from audiences, artists, and organizers, and with support from the City of Salzburg, 2026 marks the sixth edition. This year, donations are collected for the Frauentreffpunkt association. On Monday, November 9, 2026, shows by women for women will take place simultaneously across the entire German-speaking region, featuring only female artists from the full spectrum of humor (cabaret, comedy, musical cabaret, poetry slam, improv theater, etc.) as a stand against sexism and violence against women. The event guarantees an unforgettable and humorous evening, and donations will be collected for women’s aid projects. The ticket price is intentionally kept low to encourage donations for a local women’s aid project. ON STAGE SONJA PIKART – Salzburger Stier award winner, reflects on strength and heroes, and those who were never heroes SUSE LICHTENBERGER – a report from the pre-hell about success, with music and a wink MAGDA LEEB – simply does what she does best: improvising. CHRISTINA KIESLER – winner of the Austrian cabaret prize 24, shatters patriarchy from the stage CHRISTINE TEICHMANN is known for socially critical, politically current cabaret full of black humor. She curates and hosts the show. Patron: Frauenbüro Salzburg Sponsor: Christine Teichmann
