Latin American music with a strong touch of blues featuring Marieta Veliz, Javier Veliz, and Heli Punzenberger. Duration approximately 120 minutes, with a break after about 60 minutes. Latin American music from Brazil, Argentina, and especially Cuba, seasoned with a strong breeze of blues from Upper Austria - that is Macubaja. Marieta and Javier from Cuba meet the well-known guitarist Heli Punzenberger in our region. An ensemble of three! What power, what magic resides in this music. Dreamy and joyful, melancholic and full of zest for life. The range of South American music in dreamy ballads, songs of sand and salt, about love, joy, passion, longing. From the small light that dispels shadows. Melancholy and sadness? Yes. But also pure joy of life and the pleasures it offers... The enchanting voice of Marieta, the virtuoso violin playing of her brother Javier, and Heli Punzenberger's fiery guitar solos combine to create sparks flying. So much fire, so much passion, so much poetry! This music moves your legs, touches your heart and soul. Sometimes gentle and caressing, then stirring again, shaking and pulsating. "Throw yourself into life," it says, because what would remain if we didn't believe in love, the crazy in us, and hope? Nothing would remain. Macubaja leaves a lasting impression. Three passionate musicians, three virtuosos who harmonize beautifully and bring a lot of joy to the stage. They conjure sounds on their instruments, making tones sparkle, bubble, trickle, or rain down in showers. It grabs you, pulls you along, sweeps you away. Marieta's voice, soft and powerful, sad or happy, always intense and full of energy. An energy that transmits to the audience, who will be thrilled by this spectacular Austro-Cuban concert... What guitarist Punzenberger touches has quality. This has been known for decades. He is also highly successful with Herb Berger, Alexander Meik, and Roland Punzenberger. The cherry on top of his musical work is Macubaja!
