Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel

What's it about?

The Salzburg State Theatre presents the stage adaptation of Uwe Timm's classic children's book 'Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel'. The Fröhlich family wins a pig in a raffle — but Rudi Rüssel causes them some problems: how can a pig be hidden in an apartment in the city? And how can it be officially recognized as a pet pig? Rudi wins the hearts of the family with his temperament and charm, even though he causes chaos, mixes up scientific documents, and nibbles on the cake. When the family has to move out, they discover Rudi's talent as a racing pig. But can he compete against the long-standing champion Klabautermann and farmer Nieß? The production by Christiane Silberhumer impresses with loving scenes, appealing set design by Michael Lindner, and captivating music by Katrin Schweiger. An entertaining afternoon at the theatre for children and adults. Further information is available on the official event page.
