Schwarzkarlsee - Survival Strategies in the High Mountains The path leads steadily uphill from Enzingerboden towards Rötenkogel and Winterkogel. At about 2100 m, you reach the border of the National Park and shortly thereafter the Schwarzkarlsee. This high mountain landscape offers fascinating insights into the inhabitants of the wetland habitats, the short vegetation period, and the survival strategies of the high mountain flora. At the same time, an impressive mountain panorama opens up. The return journey follows the same route.
