Jugendchor Österreich

What's it about?

With a program worth listening to, the Jugendchor Österreich invites you on a musical journey through the diverse soundscapes of Europe at the end of July. The Jugendchor Österreich (JCÖ) is the national youth choir and unites 40 outstanding singers from Austria and South Tyrol aged 18 to 26. The artistic direction is taken over by Agnes Schnabl and Miriam Laznia from Salzburg. The young singers present a diverse program with folk songs and classical works from various countries of the continent, from melodies from the Alpine region to southern rhythms and artistic choral settings by great composers. With its music, the JCÖ aims to build bridges: across national borders, between past and present, powerfully and connectively.
