What's it about?

Starting from March 28, the dinosaurs are back at Schloss Katzenberg! Now in its fifth season, DINOLAND has its permanent location in the castle park and has become a major attraction with several hundred thousand visitors over the years, establishing itself as a key part of the leisure offerings in the Innviertel region. Nearly 100 dinosaur stars are on display and have been visitor favorites since the beginning. The adventure offerings of the large family park are also impressive: climbing, balancing, and crawling courses, a labyrinth, Dinodrom and Dino-Rides, a research camp, and much more make the educational trail through the castle park a true action experience. In 2026, new dinosaurs will bring fresh excitement to the park. During summer, DINOLAND will also feature an XXL slide to transform into a bathing paradise. Visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area covering 40,000 square meters. They embark on an adventurous journey back over 200 million years to a bygone era of Earth, encountering nearly 100 life-sized and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons, and fossils. Visitors will come face-to-face with impressive giants such as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus, among others. Each tells fascinating stories and will captivate both young and old explorers. All models were crafted with scientific accuracy under expert guidance. Some are even capable of moving and making sounds thanks to elaborate animatronics, creating a highly realistic experience. Interactive and educational, DINOLAND has created a unique prehistoric classroom where children can discover, touch, and try out exhibits in interactive zones. Instead of a dusty museum, children and their parents can explore exciting facts about prehistoric giants and their era in the beautiful setting of Schloss Katzenberg. Besides the impressive exhibits, the adventure park offers a diverse and extraordinary program for all ages. In the Dinodrom, young visitors can ride around on Dino-scooters, sit on life-sized dinosaurs during Dino-Riding, and earn a personalized explorer pass during the Dino-Rally. The treasure hunting and fossil excavation activities in the research camp are both exciting and educational, turning children into amateur archaeologists. There are also numerous challenging climbing and crawling structures, giant slides, a magical labyrinth, exciting balancing paths, a Flying Fox to glide from tree to tree on a rope, and the DINOLAND water playground. This water-themed play paradise is not only a huge fun factor for little water lovers but also incorporates a great educational concept. A drinking water fountain provides free refreshment on hot days, and the gold panning station and new fossil stone in the research camp make the trip even more exciting. Visitors should plan at least three hours for the approximately one-kilometer circular trail. Many attractions are included in the admission price. Children under four years old have free entry.
