What's it about?

Starting March 28, the dinosaurs are back at Schloss Katzenberg! Now in its fifth season, DINOLAND has a permanent location in the castle park and has become a major attraction in the Innviertel region, drawing several hundred thousand visitors in recent years. The nearly 100 dinosaur stars on display have been favorites from the beginning, but the adventure offerings of the large family park are also impressive: climbing, balancing, and crawling courses, a labyrinth, Dinodrom and Dino-Rides, a research camp, and much more make the educational trail through the castle park a true action experience. In 2026, new dinosaurs will bring fresh excitement to the park. During summer, DINOLAND will also feature an XXL slide to the bathing paradise! Visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area covering 40,000 square meters. They embark on an adventurous journey through a vast research site into a bygone era over 200 million years ago, with nearly 100 life-sized and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons, and fossils. Visitors will come face-to-face with impressive giants like Tyrannosaurus Rex or Triceratops, as well as Stegosaurus, to name just a few of the most famous reptiles. All models were crafted with scientific accuracy under expert guidance. Some can even move and make sounds thanks to elaborate animatronics, creating a convincing experience. Interactive and educational, DINOLAND has created a unique prehistoric classroom where children can discover, touch, and try out in interactive zones. Instead of a dusty museum, children and their parents can explore exciting facts about the prehistoric giants and their era in the beautiful setting of Schloss Katzenberg. Besides the impressive exhibits, the adventure park offers a diverse and extraordinary program for all ages. In the Dinodrom, young visitors can ride around on Dino-scooters, sit on life-sized dinosaurs during Dino-Riding, and earn a personalized researcher’s pass during the Dino-Rally. Exciting and educational activities include treasure hunting and fossil excavation in the research camp, where children become amateur archaeologists.
