From March 28th, the dinosaurs are back at Schloss Katzenberg! Now in its fifth season, DINOLAND has its permanent location in the castle park and has become an absolute visitor magnet in recent years with several hundred thousand guests, and a fixed feature in the leisure offerings of the Innviertel! The almost 100 dinosaur stars on display have been visitor favorites since day one, but the adventure offerings of the large family park are also impressive: climbing, balancing, and crawling courses, a labyrinth, Dinodrom and Dino-Rides, a research camp, and much more turn the educational path through the castle park into a true action experience! In 2026, new dinosaurs will also bring fresh energy to the park. In summer, DINOLAND will also become a bathing paradise with an XXL slide! In Dinoland, visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area spanning 40,000 square meters! On their discovery tour through the extensive research area, they embark on an eventful journey into a long-past geological era over 200 million years ago, with nearly 100 life-sized and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons, and fossils. Visitors find themselves face to face with impressive giants like the Tyrannosaurus Rex or the Triceratops, all the way to the Stegosaurus, to name just a few of the most famous lizards. They all tell interesting stories and will delight young and old researchers! All models were faithfully crafted under scientific guidance. Thanks to elaborate animatronics, some of them can even move and make sounds deceptively realistically. Interactive and pedagogically valuable With Dinoland, a unique prehistoric classroom has been created, where interactive children's areas invite discovery, touching, and trying out. Instead of in a dusty museum, children and their parents can explore exciting facts about prehistoric giants and their time in the beautiful ambiance of Schloss Katzenberg. In addition to the impressive exhibits, the adventure park offers a diverse and extraordinary hands-on program for all ages. In the Dinodrom, little visitors can ride around in Dino-Scooters, sit on life-sized dinosaurs during Dino-Riding, and win a personalized researcher's pass in the Dino-Rallye. Sifting for treasures and uncovering fossils in the research camp, where children become amateur archaeologists, is exciting and educational! There is also a variety of challenging climbing and crawling facilities, giant slides, an enchanted labyrinth, exciting balancing paths, a Flying Fox, with which one can "fly" from tree to tree suspended on a rope, and the Dinoland water playground! This play paradise in and with water is not only a huge fun factor for little water lovers, but it also has a great educational concept behind it! A drinking water fountain provides free cooling on hot days, a gold panning facility and new fossil rock for the research camp make the excursion exciting and thrilling. Visitors should definitely plan at least three hours for the approximately one-kilometer circular path! A variety of attractions are included in the admission price. Children under four years of age have free admission.
