Konzert mit Meena Cryle & Chris Fillmore

What's it about?

Meena Cryle and Chris Fillmore. One hundred percent voice and one hundred percent guitar – and both are a class of their own. Their music is like a soundtrack of a road movie, somewhere between Salzach Delta and the Southern States. Southern Soul, Blues, Gospel, Country & Rock’n Roll. Both boldly and intuitively draw from different musical genres and produce not only their own sound but also their own songs. Meena Cryle is an Austrian blues singer and musician. She was nominated in 2013 for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Jazz/World/Blues category. At age 15, she founded a blues-rock band, worked in a women’s shelter in Mozambique after her studies, traveled across Europe and through northern USA. She formed a band and performed concerts with various artists. She was signed by the label Ruf Records and recorded her first album "Try Me" with her guitarist Chris Fillmore in Stantonville, Tennessee. Chris Fillmore is probably Austria’s most internationally known and respected blues guitarist. He composes, produces, and tours worldwide together with the exceptional singer and guitarist Meena Cryle and his Chris Fillmore Band.
