In the Inn I'm like at Home

What's it about?

The exhibition shows photos of old (abandoned) inns by Karo Pernegger and thus addresses the problem of the dying out of inns – but it also deals with the numerous guesthouses that once existed in the city of Ried. The exhibition is based on the collection of the Museum Innviertler Volkskundehaus, but also on the report of the beer trip through Ried, which four members of the Liedertafel undertook in 1913. They took on the difficult task of visiting and evaluating all 45 inns, wine bars and coffee houses existing in Ried at that time. Supplemented with anecdotes, objects and historical views, one gets a lively impression of the inn scene in Ried at that time. Exhibition runs until September 12, 2026!
