Elisabeth Lohninger Band

What's it about?

This is not your standard jazz performance. Elisabeth Lohninger is unafraid of stylistic explorations or musical taboos. With her velvety dark alto voice, she remains soulful and subtle. Suddenly, even the most well-known Queen songs sound like new listens. Together with her brilliant partner, pianist Walter Fischbacher, Lohninger reimagines Queen classics: from hymn-like evergreen hits like We Are the Champions to nearly forgotten gems like Cool Cat. Everything is rethought, reduced to the essentials, tailored to her voice and expression. What remains is a musical tension between intimacy and euphoria.
