What's it about?
The explosive live shows of IKAN HYU are now an integral part of the European music scene. The way they create the power of a 'full band' as a duo is as unique as the sound that results: free, glitchy, beautiful, profound, and unpredictable. The two front women each play up to three instruments simultaneously — Hannah with acoustic and electronic drum elements, a Kaossilator, and a synth bass; Anisa with a drum pad and a self-designed E-guitar/keyboard hybrid, allowing her to play guitar and bass at the same time. Both sing alternately or together. Complemented by artworks, merchandise, lighting elements, and stage outfits, all DIY, the duo creates a whole universe.
