After three decades in the New York jazz scene, the two musicians Elisabeth Lohninger and Walter Fischbacher return to their old home. They spent their childhood in Weißenkirchen im Attergau and Vöcklabruck and present a program that rethinks rock history in a surprising way. Together, Lohninger and Fischbacher will build a sounding bridge between two musical worlds on Saturday, July 25, as part of the OKH Open Air Jazz Picnic: the legendary melodies of the Beatles and the theatrical sound language of Queen. Jazz Dialogue between Beatles and Queen The double concert consists of two independent sets. In the first part, pianist Walter Fischbacher, who has lived in New York for many years, dedicates himself to the Beatles' songbook. His arrangements shift familiar harmonies and rhythms and open up new improvisational spaces. The result is lively, rhythmically dense reinterpretations of classic pop songs. In the second set, singer Elisabeth Lohninger focuses on the work of Queen. With her expressive voice and jazz-oriented band lineup, she unfolds the complex structure and emotional depth of Freddie Mercury's pieces in a new musical context. Box office: €23 Presale: €18 Youth ticket (up to 18): €9 This event offers seating and standing room. Tickets available at: Kupf Ticket Presale runs until 25.07.26, 08:00 AM Organizer: Jazzgruppe
