In 2027, the 38th edition of the race around Lake Hallstatt will take place. The most beautiful half marathon in Austria. Since 1987, the Int. Sparkassen Hallstättersee-Rundlauf has been held, and participants repeatedly rave about the most beautiful half marathon in Austria after completing the 21 km course through the stunning Salzkammergut landscape. The starting shot at the Hallstatt gas station is on April 26, 2026, at 09:45 AM. ASKÖ Hallstatt will once again ensure a smooth event and is already looking forward to a large field of starters. Registration is possible via the Seerundlauf Hallstatt website. A run through the UNESCO World Heritage region. As a participant of the Int. Sparkassen Hallstättersee-Rundlauf, you will circle Lake Hallstatt and pass through the three UNESCO World Heritage sites. You start in Hallstatt heading towards Obertraun, the home of Dachstein Krippenstein. Once there, the route continues along the east bank hiking trail and east bank cycling trail to Obersee, the first district of Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee. You will pass the 10 km mark—congratulations! The route then continues to Steeg, another district of Goisern. Here, the last 5 km of the race begin. You will use your final reserves of energy and reach the finish line at the marketplace in Hallstatt, where your fans are already waiting! On race day, the following road sections will be closed: Landesstraße (L 547) between Hallstatt and Obertraun for all vehicle traffic from 9:00 to 10:10 AM; Bundesstraße (B 166) between Steeg and Gosaumühle with partial closure from 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM; Landesstraße (L 547) between Gosaumühle and Hallstatt for all vehicle traffic from 10:15 AM to 12:45 PM.
