An incomparable Advent market in idyllic surroundings. "Preserving customs and maintaining traditions" is a motto that is highly valued at the Gosauer Bergweihnacht. Here, away from mass tourism and mass-produced goods, old-established customs and almost forgotten crafts are practiced and lived. Typical Gosau home cooking, regional delicacies, and homemade treats are offered by the local history association, the traditional costume women, and the farmers. Experience true culinary delights with Christmas cookies, a hearty soup in a bread bowl, and many other tasty specialties. The "Advent Stars" are again this year the children! With a diverse program for the little ones, time flies by and boredom is a foreign word. Donkeys and a small Gosau round with the horse-drawn sleigh promise fun and joy for the whole family.
