Where words become worlds: The Gmunden City Library opens its "purple cave" for young explorers. Sometimes, a big adventure doesn't require much — just cozy cushions on the floor, a historic vault, and exciting, funny, and surprising stories... Starting Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the Gmunden City Library will expand its program for families with a regularly scheduled storytime and transform its "purple cave" into an oasis of imagination. Children from 4 years old and their accompanying persons are warmly invited to go on discovery journeys. Every first Tuesday of the month, from 3:00 PM to about 3:30 PM, kids can settle in comfortably. Stories from the library's extensive collection will be read aloud: from "loudly funny" to "completely silent," from "I didn't see that coming" to "oooh, that's exciting." Watching, empathizing, and chatting along are explicitly encouraged.
