What's it about?

History you can touch will be offered on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the "Lila Höhle" of the Gmunden City Library. Young time travelers will discover, for example, how valuable handwritten books were in the Middle Ages and can create their own manuscripts with ink and quill. Additionally, children will learn which music was popular in the Middle Ages and can hear exciting stories about brave knights and their adventures. Those interested can also step into the role of a knight or knightess and craft a coat of arms, or play Nine Men's Morris and chess, as these games were also very popular in the Middle Ages! If a break is needed, they can relax at the round table and enjoy bread, the most important food in the Middle Ages.
