What's it about?

Emotional world – in times of mourning Give your grief space Grief has many faces. It can be quiet or loud, full of tears, memories, gratitude, and sometimes questions. Everyone grieves differently, and every feeling has its place. Under the idea "Give your grief space," the parishes of Raab, Eggerding, Sigharting, and Andorf around All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day invite you to give your own grief time and space. During these days, the memorial sites become special places of pause, remembrance, and hope. Dedicated staff from the parishes create various stations with much love and empathy. Candles, texts, images, and symbols invite visitors to reflect on memories, write down thoughts, light a candle, or simply spend a moment in silence. Grief is as colorful and diverse as life itself. Sometimes words fail us, sometimes it feels good to keep memories alive. And sometimes, all we need is a protected place where we don't have to explain anything and can just be as we are feeling right now. With these mourning rooms, we want to show that grief has a place in our community. No one has to hide their grief. Hope, comfort, and new strength can also gradually grow. The mourning rooms are open on the following days: Raab: October 29 to November 4, 2026, daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eggerding: October 29 to November 2, 2026, daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Sigharting: October 30 to November 4, 2026, daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Andorf: October 17 to November 8, 2026, daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM All mourning rooms are located in the respective memorial sites and can be visited independently during the opening hours. We warmly invite all people – regardless of how long ago a farewell took place. It might feel good to pause briefly, take a memory with you, or simply feel: I am not alone with my grief. Because grief does not need a fixed schedule. But sometimes, it needs a place where it can be.
