Reading: Max Simonischek Music: Simone Kopmajer "Those who do not love have no existence, are not here, have died. Those who want to love rise from the dead, only those who love are alive" - Robert Walser Max Simonischek reads selected short stories by the great Swiss poet Robert Walser, his compatriot, whose work can be understood as the only great declaration of love. He is accompanied by jazz singer Simone Kopmajer, who frames the reading with exquisitely chosen songs from jazz and classical music. Robert Walser's entire work is full of declarations of love to the world. Whatever Walser describes - landscapes in the changing seasons, villages, cities, animals or people - everything concerns him. The poet has always preserved the sensitivity of the soul, the ability to fall in love. Robert Walser saw the special in the seemingly obvious and freed it from the rust of clichés and trivialities, giving it a brilliance and language that appear to us as entirely new perceptions. "You don't need to see much, you already see a lot" - Robert Walser
