What's it about?

Hunting music was not merely an embellishment, but a prerequisite for group hunting to take place safely. The necessary signals from the hunters formed the origin of the entire development of hunting music. The step from the "vocally extended hunting call to the animal horn signal was therefore only a logical consequence. Thus, hunters and horns are inextricably linked. In times when mutual information over long distances was hardly possible, the use of a signal instrument could be decisive for success or failure, and often even for life or death. Today, hunting horn players gladly speak of the fascination that comes from making music with this instrument. Hunting horn music is a wonderful cultural asset that brings joy and demands respect.
