What's it about?

Unique and eventful: The Niglo parade on December 5th is celebrated only in Windischgarsten and can look back on a long tradition. No wonder it has been declared an intangible cultural heritage of Austria by UNESCO! Unlike many other Krampus and Perchten runs, the focus is not on the evil devil, but on the good in the person of Saint Nicholas. The event is organized by the local traditional costume club, which has taken on the task of passing down this special custom from generation to generation. Punsch stand open from 5 PM to 9 PM. Travel information: Travel by public transport: Windischgarsten train station - 10 minutes walk to the Nigloumzug.
